SCHOOL PROFILE
The school is about 3 Kms from the mandal head quarters. This school is in Z.P.High School, PEDARAVURU school complex. It is under the management of Zilla Parishad, Guntur (Local body) with coeducation. This High School is established in 1962. The school imparts education for the Classes VI to X with thrible sections in each class with Telugu medium and VI to X Classes with single section in English medium. we are following state syllabus for both media.
The school building consists 9 rooms in Pucca building with RCC roof, two rooms in country tiles, and three rooms in asbestos sheets. It has an own building. There are separate rooms for Computers, teaching staff and office. The asbestos rooms building with broken walls and ceiling which must be demolished urgently. We are in need of 5 rooms urgently.
This school is located in two acre area in the middle of village surrounded by residential houses. The ground is in low lying area. Rain water stagnates during rainy season and is not useful as playground for seven months from July to January during a year.
Smt.K.Aruna Kumari....M.Sc.,B.Ed., is the Head Mistress of the School. All the teachers are trained and attending in-service training programmes regularly. Most of the teachers are Post graduates. A few have Computer Knowledge.
This is an upgraded school from U.P. School. The U.P. School building built in 1950. It is upgraded in 1962. The old building is roofed with country tiles. They are not in adequate measurement in area.
To improve Admissions and to reduce dropouts we are campaigning the importance of education, our results, about our well qualified faculty and extra facilities such as computer Lab, Science Lab, Library and Physical education.
+There is a lot of potential for enrolment in the school. Some parents are joining their children in English Medium schools in TENALI only due to the attraction of infrastructure facilities. If the Govt. provides those facilities in this school, they will certainly join here only.
Village(Pedaravuru) Profile- Geographic
PEDARAVURU is a major Gram Panchayat with 14 wards. This is in Tenali Mandal of Guntur district. The main occupation of the villagers is cultivation. The lands are fertile and irrigation is through canal system. Mainly they cultivate paddy and other commercial crops like maize, blackgram etc. Chinaravuru of Tenali Municipal limits, Jaggadigunta Palem, and Pragada Kotaiah Nagar (Tenali Rural mandal) are the neighbouring feeding villages of this school.

The Village is at 3 Kms. distance from the mandal head quarter Tenali and 28 Kms. distance from the district head quarter Guntur. The Village is connected by road. RTC bus facility is available. The nearest railway station is Chinaravuru and is about 1.5 Kms. The S.C. Community is the dominant community in the Village. The ground water is suitable for drinking purpose. Ground water is usable for drinking purpose. However mineral water plant is erected by panchayat to supply at cheaper rate(Rs.0.10 per litre) Krishna Canal water is supplied for irrigation purpose during 9 months period in a year.
